ATSC 3.0 @ National Association of Broadcasters
Apr. 7-11, 2018
Las Vegas, NV
Steve Multer was the initiative storyteller for the new ATSC 3.0 television standard at the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas. Steve introduced the biggest change in television broadcasting since the digital TV transition (labeled “Next-Gen TV”) along with the Internet Protocol-based systems built to support it and other new digital video delivery systems allowing terrestrial broadcasters to deliver data streams to consumer receivers alongside video.
As part of the Arland Communications team, Steve combined the technology developments of more than 30 companies and organizations to show various capabilities of the ATSC 3.0 broadcast TV standard, including the first live camera production of ATSC 3.0 to be broadcast over-the-air, with signals originating from nearby Black Mountain. https://www.atsc.org/newsletter/nab-show-rewind-atsc-3-0-takes-center-stage/
